Haulin Aspen

Haulin Aspen is a full all-trail marathon in Bend, Oregon (Deschutes National Forest).

The race is unique to others in the Bend Races series, in that it takes place fully outdoors in the rugged terrain.

​

For Haulin Aspen’s identity, I wanted to incorporate the offroad nature of the race as well as the native forestry of Central Oregon, so I used the topographic map and green to evoke that rugged feeling.

​

For the medal, there was an option to do a unique shape other than the typical circle, so I came up with the idea of it being a cross section of a log with a treeline burned in from the bark.
